About the Role:

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2025
Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with a small group of delightful Year 1 students with Autism and ADHD, helping to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. You'll play a key role in fostering their development, building their confidence, and helping them thrive both academically and socially. There will also be some work involved within EYFS as required.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with Autism and ADHD in a Year 1 class.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Promote positive learning experiences and emotional well-being.
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
Use your creativity and compassion to build strong, trusting relationships with students.

About You:

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and adaptable. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (Autism, ADHD).
A patient and nurturing approach to teaching and learning.
Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and parents.
Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training).
A genuine desire to help children succeed.
