Search Consultancy are supporting a company who are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role will be a fixed term contract and is urgently required.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Management Accountant and Finance team to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing data and insight where required.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Helping to prepare and review financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Assisting with costings, pricing, and margin analysis to support decision-making.
- Processing and coding invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assisting with year-end procedures and audits.
- Collaborating with other departments to provide financial information and analysis.
- Ad-hoc reporting and project support as required.
Key Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting principles.
- Previous experience in a similar role (ideally in a commercial or fast-paced environment).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with costing and pricing models.
- Knowledge of VAT and tax regulations.
