Solicitor ( Contracts and procurement)

Fully remote

£25 per hour (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (3-6 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Contracts Solicitor on a fully remote basis. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

To give legal procedural and propriety advice to senior officers, elected members or other persons or bodies
To assist in the investigation of complaints, particularly in relation to issues raised with the Ombudsman, any Inspectorate, or the Monitoring Officer
Look to continuously improve services in area of responsibility, identifying where possible, value for money savings and ways of managing within allocated budgets
Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation, organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct

The candidate:

A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with relevant post qualification experience
Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts is essential
At least 3 years of PQE
