We pride ourselves on our commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and the development of our people.About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring that all estimates are competitive and align with project requirements.Key Responsibilities:* Analyse blueprints, specifications, and project plans to understand the scope of work.* Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.* Review and evaluate quotes for specification compliance and select for bid inclusion.* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions.* Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and assess project conditions.* Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and project stakeholders.* Monitor and update estimates as project scopes change.* Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.* Support bid strategies and tender presentations.Qualifications:* A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.* 5+ years of experience in civil estimating within the construction industry.* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.* Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.What We Offer:* Competitive salary and benefits package.* 32 days of paid holiday and a pension plan.* Career progression opportunities.* A supportive and collaborative work environment.* Bright, modern offices with free parking and electric car charging facilities.
