Assembly Technician

Are you passionate about working with electrical and mechanical components, assembling them into finished products? Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in creating high-quality products, using your attention to detail and technical skills.

Full time, Permanent position

Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 5:00 and Fridays 8:30 - 1:30

£27,000 pa

Responsibilities:

Handle a variety of parts, following build instructions and drawings to assemble finished products.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the assembly area.

Adhere to company rules and regulations to ensure compliance.

Meet production timelines to ensure timely delivery of products.

Identify any discrepancies, report them, and complete the necessary paperwork.

Conduct quality inspections to ensure consistent build quality.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical and mechanical assembly technician, reaching a skilled level.

Proficiency in understanding work orders and the picking process within a manufacturing environment.

Strong fault-finding skills, with the ability to repair basic parts.

Familiarity with setting up and operating equipment as per instructions.

Ability to assemble parts and components, including small electrical sub-assemblies, to build finished products.

Experience in testing sub-assemblies and finished products during the manufacturing process.

Thorough inspection skills to identify defects before and during the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

Basic education including GCSE level C or above in Maths and English Language.

Recognised apprenticeship or relevant BTEC or equivalent is preferred.
