We have an exciting opportunity for temp to perm Warehouse MHE Operatives to join working for a nationally recognized company based in Dartford. As a warehouse colleague you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

MHE (PPT or Counterbalance, Reach Truck) experience is preferred but not mandatory, full training will be provided.

Shifts:

6 AM -2 PM or 2 PM -10PM

40 hour working week. This position includes some weekend working, including bank holidays as the depot operates 24/7 therefore, it is essential that you are flexible in your approach to work. Once you pass your training you will be given your rota for the whole year.

Pay rate:

AM £11.90 per hour increasing after 12 weeks of working with us to £12.48 per hour

PM £12.17 per hour increasing after 12 weeks of working with us to £13.02 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.

• Ensuring Quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care so it arrives at our customers in perfect condition.
• Picking stock accurately and efficiently.
• Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment.
• Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch.
• A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment safely.
• You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work.

Person Profile:

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Ability to count accurately to enable the correct picking of stock.
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment safely.
• You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work.
• Counterbalance/forklift licence desirable.
