We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join a public realm highways improvement scheme in Cambridge. This is a freelance role for an initial 6-month period, with the possibility of extension based on project progress.

THIS ASSIGNMENT IS PAYING OUTSIDE IR35!

Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage the daily on-site activities related to highways and public realm improvements.
·Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, health and safety regulations, and project plans.
·Set out works, including drainage, pavements, and structures, ensuring accuracy in line with the project requirements.
·Monitor the progress of works, manage site resources, and liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders.
·Coordinate and manage site inspections and ensure quality control throughout the project.
·Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any engineering-related issues on-site.
·Produce site reports, as-built drawings, and documentation as required.

Requirements:
·A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
·Proven experience in highways, public realm, or infrastructure projects.
·Proficient in setting out using GPS and total stations.
·Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
·Excellent communication and project management skills.
·Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
