We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join us! The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience as a nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), with specialised knowledge in orthopaedic procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment and make a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes.

To qualify for this role, you will need:
  • Registered Nurse (RN/RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
  • Valid and clear NMC or HCPC registration
  • Proven and substantial experience in orthopaedic surgical settings, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the specific challenges and requirements of these procedures.
  • A strong command of sterile technique and infection control protocols, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that are essential for fostering positive patient interactions and effective teamwork.


As an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Thoroughly preparing the operating room for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring that all required equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Providing critical assistance to the surgical team during orthopaedic surgeries by proficiently passing instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Maintaining a sterile and meticulously organized surgical environment throughout procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
  • Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and seamless coordination of care.
  • Offering compassionate support and guidance to patients and their families before and after orthopaedic procedures, ensuring they feel informed and reassured at every stage.
