Job Title: Metal Roofing & Cladding Designer
Location: Waltham Abbey
Salary: Circa £60,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Designer to join my clients growing team, specialising in Metal Roofing and Cladding. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled designer with experience in the construction industry to contribute to a variety of exciting projects across the UK. As part of the design team, you will play a key role in ensuring that designs and construction drawings are produced to a high standard and delivered on time, while meeting client specifications and staying within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Produce high-quality construction drawings and designs in line with project timelines.

* Manage the design process, ensuring client expectations are met and maintained within budget constraints.

* Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders for approval.

* Oversee the development and coordination of design deliverables, reports, and documentation.

* Ensure compliance with building regulations, codes of practice, and ISO9001 standards.

* Stay up to date with changes in building legislation and coordinate building control compliance.

* Coordinate and integrate subcontractor drawings and ensure cohesive overall design.

* Provide technical and design support to various departments throughout project phases.

* Attend and lead design team meetings, liaising with consultants and subcontractors.

* Conduct site surveys and prepare reports on progress, quality, and compliance.

Experience & Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in Hard Metal Roofing and Cladding design is highly desirable.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

* A background in construction or design-related education (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).

* High-level proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM.

* In-depth knowledge of approved document part B and NHBC conditions.

* Experience working with online document portals (e.g., 4projects, Aconex) is advantageous.

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

* Membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous but not essential
