ABOUT THE SERVICE

A nurse-led service providing an innovative, home-based alternative to inpatient and residential mental health care. Our specialised mental health teams deliver therapeutic, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation services, enabling individuals to manage their conditions safely at home. We work closely with NHS bodies, local authorities, and mental health teams to provide integrated, high-quality care.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Mental Health Clinical Lead will oversee the delivery of high-quality mental health services, ensuring clinical excellence, compliance with CQC regulations, and a patient-centred approach. The role involves leading and supervising the clinical team, developing care strategies, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide seamless, community-based mental health support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide clinical leadership and oversight of mental health services within organisation.

* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards for mental health care.

* Lead, mentor, and supervise a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and support staff.

* Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, ensuring individualised and holistic approaches to mental health treatment.

* Oversee crisis intervention and stabilisation strategies to prevent hospital admissions and support recovery at home.

* Work closely with NHS bodies, local authorities, GPs, and mental health professionals to ensure coordinated care pathways.

* Conduct clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and mental health reviews for service users.

* Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to.

* Provide training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff.

* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support governance, quality assurance, and service improvements.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or equivalent professional qualification.

* Significant experience in mental health services, preferably within community-based care.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and mental health best practices.

* Experience in crisis intervention, risk assessment, and recovery-focused care.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

* Ability to develop and implement service improvement strategies.

* Passion for delivering patient-centred mental health care and promoting independence.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

* Experience working in a nurse-led or community-based mental health service.

* Additional qualifications in mental health leadership or management.

* Knowledge of NHS commissioning processes and social care coordination.
