Pay: £395-£430 (Weekly Take Home after Tax and NI)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within the Pathways Provision at a primary school in B14, Kings Heath. This specialist provision supports children aged 4-6 years (Reception & KS1) with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviour. The role involves providing tailored support, implementing behaviour strategies, and fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and additional needs in a specialist provision setting.
Assisting with learning activities and behaviour support both inside and outside the classroom.
Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development through structured support.
Supporting children with transitions and engagement in learning activities.
Working closely with the SENCO, Class Teacher, and support staff to provide a cohesive approach.
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.Candidate Requirements

Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly in Early Years or KS1.
Strong behaviour management skills and experience working with challenging behaviour.
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
Ability to adapt to individual needs and implement tailored support strategies.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).About the School
