We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support our production and loading/distribution processes. The role involves operating high-speed bagging lines, servicing production lines with forklift support, moving stock, and loading heavy goods vehicles. Adequate training will be provided to ensure all operatives work in accordance with our safe systems of work and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift trucks to service production lines and maintain continuous material supply.
  • Operate high-speed bagging lines as required, maintaining consistent product quality for the retail market.
  • Execute stock movements and assist in loading heavy goods vehicles for dispatch in accordance with the loading/distribution plan.
  • Provide cover for forklift or shovel drivers when needed, following appropriate training.
  • Work accurately to daily production plans and supply picking tickets.
  • Ensure all process documentation is completed and up-to-date.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, following safe systems of work and company risk assessments.
  • Perform routine maintenance and optimization of bagging lines to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Hold a valid forklift (counterbalance) certificate (training can be provided if needed).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling daily production and loading plans.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of product quality and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and provide cover for other roles as required.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Training & Support:

Full in-house training and ongoing support will be provided, ensuring all duties are carried out safely and effectively.
