BSL Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a BSL Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with Deaf/hearing impaired children across various schools working within a very supportive team of professionals. The role is full-time with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

· Rate of pay: GBP100 - GBP120 per day depending on qualification

Experience, Training and Qualifications required:
· Qualified Teaching assistant
· Previous experience working with Deaf/hearing impaired children and young people is preferable
· Use of specialist resources and technologies to support children and young people with hearing impairment
· Experience of using British Sign Language alongside speech to facilitate communication is essential.

To be eligible for this role, the potential Specialist Teaching Assistant must:
· Hold the right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child-related references.
· Clean full UK driving licence
