Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to assist with their financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. There will be a particular emphasis on building month-end schedules and improving balance sheet processes. The role will be on a 2 month contract but could be extended. You must be immediately available, and this role can pay a rate of £250 PAYE or £300 Umbrella (Inside IR35).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Fully Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
