JOB- Maintenance EngineerLOCATION- CambridgeTERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)Premier Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Cambridge. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth production operations.The Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Experience in maintaining and repairing manufacturing or industrial machinery
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems (desirable)
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve:

• Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal machine performance
• Working with production teams to improve equipment reliability
• Maintaining records of maintenance activities and reporting issues
• Following health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
