The Role:
As a KS1 Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and engage young children in their early years of education. You'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that help raise attainment, with a particular focus on phonics and literacy. Your strong behaviour management skills will ensure that the classroom is a positive, well-structured environment where every student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Develop and implement effective phonics instruction to support early literacy skills
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing tailored support where needed
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage all learners
  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student progress
  • Provide constructive feedback and set individual targets for students' development
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A strong passion for early years education and raising attainment in KS1
  • Exceptional phonics knowledge and experience in teaching phonics effectively
  • Excellent behaviour management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach to teaching and a commitment to improving student outcomes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience teaching KS1 (preferred, but not essential)
  • A nurturing attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with children
