Job Opportunity: Electrical Purchasing Manager - Wakefield

We are seeking a proactive and organised Electrical Purchasing Manager to join our clients team at their office in Wakefield. Position: Electrical Purchasing Manager
Location: Wakefield (office-based)
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (starting salary)
Hours: 40 hours per week (negotiable)

About the Role:
Morgan King Mechanical & Electrical are searching for an ambitious Electrical Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services, ensuring that the company has the necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget. While electrical knowledge is preferred, it is not essential as training will be provided. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiating prices, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely deliveries. SAGE experience is a bonus, but full training will be offered.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the purchasing of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing while overseeing stock levels, ensuring efficient procurement to meet project needs.

* Use SAGE software to manage orders, invoices, and supplier records (training provided).

* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.

* Work collaboratively with internal teams to understand project requirements and procurement needs.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in a purchasing or procurement role (electrical knowledge is advantageous but not required).

* Strong communication and negotiation skills to build rapport with suppliers.

* Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

* Experience using SAGE (or similar systems) is beneficial, but training will be provided.

* A proactive approach with a strong focus on cost management and supplier performance.
