SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Primary-aged pupils (Ashford)

Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant searching for your next role? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ashford!

This full-time position is available for an immediate start and, while it begins as a temporary long-term role, it has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We partner with a variety of SEN schools throughout Ashford and the surrounding areas, so wherever you're based locally, we encourage you to apply!

The Role Involves:

Supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges
Providing one-to-one and small group support
Assisting class teachers in preparing and delivering lessons and activities
Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment, including assisting with classroom tasks and equipment
Supervising pupils on school trips and outings
Rephrasing instructions, offering repetition, and providing guidance to ensure students are fully engaged in their learningWhat Tradewind Offers You:
