Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.

*

Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop individual care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

*

Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and review treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

*

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

*

Deliver therapeutic interventions and engage patients in therapeutic activities to enhance recovery.

*

Support and mentor junior staff and nursing students as required.

*

Ensure adherence to all infection control and health and safety guidelines.

*

Provide support to patients and their families, promoting recovery, independence, and well-being.

Key Requirements:

Essential:

*

Valid NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

*

Minimum of 1 year of post-registration experience in a mental health nursing role.

*

Strong understanding of mental health conditions and evidence-based treatments.

*

Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively.

*

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

*

Ability to manage complex cases and provide holistic care to patients.

*

Understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and Safeguarding protocols.

Desirable:

Additional qualifications in mental health or a related field.

*

Previous experience in psychiatric, forensic, or community mental health nursing settings.
