Role Summary:The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Band 6 Audiologist to join our dedicated team at St Michael's Hospital. In this role, you will provide comprehensive audiological assessments, diagnostics, and rehabilitative services to patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality hearing care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed audiological assessments and diagnostic tests for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized management plans, including hearing aid fittings, aural rehabilitation, and counseling.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care for patients, ensuring their audiological needs are met.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding hearing health and available interventions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Audiology or equivalent qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in a clinical audiology setting, with a strong understanding of audiological assessments and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions and teamwork.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload while contributing to team objectives.
