Exciting Opportunity for a Passionate Music Teacher!

Dunbar Education is thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for a dedicated and innovative Music Teacher specializing in Music Production to join our vibrant Secondary SEN Provision! This unique environment supports students aged 11-17 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioral challenges, offering a rewarding chance to make a real difference in young lives through the power of music.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspire Through Music Production: Create and deliver dynamic lessons that captivate students, focusing on music production, digital composition, audio engineering, and music technology. Your expertise will help students explore their creativity in a safe and supportive space.

Dynamic Curriculum Development: Design an engaging and flexible music production curriculum that meets national standards while adapting to the unique learning needs of our students with SEMH. Your curriculum will empower students to express themselves and develop essential skills.

Foster Student Growth: Regularly assess student progress through project-based assessments and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback that encourages their musical journey and personal development.

Cultivate a Positive Environment: Establish and maintain an inclusive classroom atmosphere where creativity flourishes. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to ensure every student feels valued and supported.

Personalized Support: Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide individualized support tailored to each student's emotional and creative needs, ensuring they thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with the latest innovations in music production, engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your teaching skills and expertise in the SEN sector.

Collaborative Approach: Work hand-in-hand with colleagues, including SENCOs and specialists, to develop effective teaching strategies that integrate music production into the wider curriculum, fostering a holistic educational experience.

Essential Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 6 months of teaching Music Production is required, with previous experience working with SEMH pupils being highly advantageous.

*

Qualifications: You must be a Qualified Teacher (QTS) or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), ready to bring your passion for music to our students.

Commitment: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are currently seeking full-time applicants only.
