Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC Operator / Programmer in the Birmingham B11 area.

Details of a CNC Operator / Programmer

* Salary: £14.50 - £17 Per Hour

* Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday 8:30am-12 Noon)

Role of a CNC Operator / Programmer

* Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.

* Background with in Fanuc and Mazak machines

* Understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading, CAD drawings etc.

* Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function

* Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines

* Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications

* Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts

* Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

* Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

Requirements of a CNC Operator / Programmer

* Proven experience as CNC operator and Programmer with Fanuc and Mazak

* Ability to read and mechanical documents and CAD drawings

* Computer savvy with a basic understanding of CNC

* Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

* Good communication abilities
