Simpson Judge are partnering with an SME based in Cheshire, easily commutable from Warrington, Northwich, Knutsford and Liverpool, to recruit a Financial Controller.

Reporting into the Managing Director, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for running the finance team and will support with strategic decision making. This would be an ideal role for someone in the Manufacturing or Retail industry, already operating at this level or a Finance Manager looking for a step up.

Location: Cheshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000-£75,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities:
* Production of the monthly accounts pack, including the management accounts for the Group. Reporting on monthly results on sales, cost and performance including variance analysis for presentation to the Board
* EBITDA with comparison against budget and prior year
* Oversight of external audit, liaising with external auditors for completion of statutory accounts
* Supervision of treasury function, including foreign currency management and forward contracts
* Statutory returns including VAT, P11d
* Preparation of budgets and forecasting
* Oversight HR, IT, Payroll and Insurance

Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Experience of working in an international business
* Solid understanding of foreign exchange
* M&A experience
* Manufacturing experience - advantageous
* Experience in SME with reporting to larger Group
