ROLE - Quality ManagerLOCATION – Milton KeynesTERM – PermanentSALARY - £40,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experienceI’m working with a leading manufacturing company, working in the marine sector. They are currently on the lookout for a Quality Manager.The Quality Manager will ideally have the following:
  • Degree, HND Qualification in Quality, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical subject
  • Previous quality manager experience, ideally in a manufacturing role.
  • Fabrication / manufacturing experience
  • Experience of managing and motivating a small team
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO9001 requirements & processes
  • Technical ability to problem solve and find solutions to technical problems in a live production environment, often to tight deadlines
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with a professional manner in a commercial setting
The Quality Manager role will involve:
  • Manage and maintain the company’s quality, health & safety, and environmental systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Review and update internal procedures to align with current practices, standards, and legal requirements, implementing authorized changes and improvements.
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Lead quality investigations as needed, addressing issues and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Conduct supplier audits and collaborate with vendors to ensure they meet the company’s quality and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze quality control activities, prepare performance reports, and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), maintaining accurate records of chemicals and ensuring they are properly labeled.
  • Monitor the company’s environmental impact and implement strategies to minimize waste and improve sustainability practices.
  • Stay up to date on relevant quality, health & safety, and environmental legislation, ensuring the company remains compliant and making improvements where necessary.
