Summary

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to work closely with the Project Manager supporting the final stages of this £3m NLHF project.  Although the project team works remotely, we are a close-knit and supportive group who meet regularly on-line. If it works for you, you could meet physically with the Project Manager in a suitable location in the North of England, but this is not essential. 

This role is Fixed Term until 30/06/2025, part time at 22.5 hours a week (we would still consider your application if you can do a minimum of 15 hours). This could also be a great opportunity for a secondment, if you are internal and wish to apply on this basis please speak with your current line manager about the possibility of a secondment.

What it's like to work here The Our Common Cause: Our Upland Commons project is delivering practical projects on upland commons in four areas; Dartmoor, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Shropshire Hills. It is celebrating and enhancing the heritage of Commons and Commoning in England’s uplands. You can read more about the project here.  

The project team (including this role) are employed by the National Trust with standard National Trust terms and conditions (including maintaining continuous service) but seconded to the project’s lead delivery body The Foundation for Common Land.  The project uses National Trust financial systems. 

As this role covers the North, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. 

What you'll be doing

As the project is currently nearing the end of delivery, we are looking for someone who can support the closure of the project including final NLHF reports, National Trust project management framework stages such as Gate 2 and Gate 4 as well as supporting the celebration and sharing of the project with our multiple partners and the public.

You'll be working closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth administration of the project including collation of data and info for quarterly lottery claims and end of project reports. You will also support the national communications work and keep the projects web content and social media up to date.

•Experience of National Trust financial management systems and procurement processes 


•Experience of collating financial or performance information for reporting. 


•Excellent communication skills, well organised and capable of managing your own workload. 


•Comfortable working with external organisations, partners and stakeholders.
