About the role:

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a specialist in water tech and technology services. They are recruiting for a Service Engineer who ideally has experience working within the Water industry or from a hands-on operations and maintenance role.

The strategically important Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £35,000, company vehicle & fuel card, with overtime and commission available.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Field Service Manager you will:

Performing on-site corrective and preventive maintenance for water treatment equipment.
Provide technical and commercial support.
Providing after-sales technical and commercial support.
Completing risk assessments, work reports, and other necessary documentation.
Participating in the on-call rota
Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers.
Follow and enforce health and safety policies for both the company and clients.
Complete and submit risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and other documents on time.
Complete site tasks and activities promptly.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or similar)
Full UK driving licence.

Personal skills

The Service Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Experience working in water treatment industry (is advantageous but not essential)
Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical market (desirable)
Good communication skills, punctual, presentable, and eager to learn and develop.
Knowledge of company products, applications, and markets is desirable.
Excellent time management skills.

Salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience
