Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial project at Saltend for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Mechanical and SIP (Structural, Insulation, and Painting) disciplines. This long-term contract offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile site-based project, with some flexibility for 1 remote working day per week.

This role has been assessed and determined as outside IR35, suitable for Ltd Company contractors.

Responsibilities:

Preparation and timely submission of Applications for Payment (AFPs)

*

Estimating and negotiating change orders

*

Producing and presenting final cost plans

*

Reconciling changes to maintain accurate cost data

*

Conducting valuations and detailed cost checking for major works

*

Assessing change orders and variations in accordance with contract terms

*

Managing cost impact analysis and contingency tracking

*

Overseeing all cost control and change management processes

*

Ensuring accurate and auditable cost validation and reporting

*

Monitoring weekly site progress and reporting against budgeted man-hours

*

Evaluating project progress and updating internal systems for cost and progress tracking

*

Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)

*

Producing monthly P&L, financial reporting and forecasting

Requirements:

*

Extensive Quantity Surveying experience within Mechanical and SIP project environments

*

Strong contractual and commercial knowledge

*

Experience working on large industrial or infrastructure projects

*

Ability to manage all QS and cost management duties independently

*

Comfortable working on a site-based role with occasional remote flexibility
