Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Contract: Full-time, term-time only

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers to support students with varying needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively and thrive in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning requirements.
Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Supporting students' emotional and social development, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Monitoring and recording student progress, working closely with teaching staff and the SENCo.
Promoting independent learning and helping students develop key life skills.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a school setting is essential, particularly in a similar support role.
A solid understanding of working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude, with a passion for supporting young people.
A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or learning support is desirable but not essential.
