The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to take full responsibility for a Year 5 class while benefiting from a well-structured and academy-led ECT induction. You will deliver creative and engaging lessons, tailor teaching to support a range of learning needs, and play a key role in preparing pupils for their transition to Year 6. As part of a 2-Form Entry school, you will work closely with another Year 5 teacher, sharing planning and best practices to ensure high-quality teaching across the year group.
 
The Candidate
The school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic ECT with a passion for teaching upper Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the Year 5 curriculum
The ability to create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
Excellent behaviour management skills and high expectations for pupil achievement
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to professional growth

Assigned mentor: A dedicated and experienced teacher providing regular feedback, guidance, and one-on-one support
Observation and feedback sessions: Structured classroom observations with detailed feedback from senior staff
Personalised development plan: Targeted support based on your strengths and areas for growth
Regular CPD opportunities: Academy-led training sessions, workshops, and access to external courses
Workload management strategies: Support in lesson planning, marking, and time management
