Job Vacancy: Maintenance Engineer

Our client has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and supplying roll-formed metal profiles for a diverse range of market sectors. Their expertise spans multiple industries, including PVCu windows & doors, construction, commercial vehicles, storage systems, and agriculture. With 12 cold roll forming lines, They pride themselves on delivering high-quality solutions and are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00 (½ hour paid lunch)

* Friday: 13:00 to 20:00 (½ hour paid lunch)

Salary:
Negotiable, circa £38k depending on experience.
Benefits:

* Quarterly production performance bonus

Key Responsibilities:

* Attend to breakdowns, performing fault-finding and repairs.

* Carry out daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

* Maintain spares stock levels and ensure availability.

* Implement machine improvements and servicing following pre-scripted service sheets.

* Conduct general repairs, including replacing bearings, chains, drive belts, shafts, conveyor belts, motors, clutches, brakes, and fabricating guards.

Key Skills:

* Experience in mechanical engineering.

* Strong fault-finding capabilities.

* Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

* Electrical experience is an advantage but not essential.

* Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG).

* Good communication skills and computer literacy.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* Continuous improvement knowledge.

Note: training provided for any skills that may need development, as they have a skilled onsite trainer.

Machinery Overview:
Their facility is equipped with a range of advanced machinery, including:

* Overhead cranes (up to 5t capacity)

* Forklift trucks (up to 5t capacity)

* De-coilers (up to 5t capacity)

* Cold roll forming mills (maximum 60mm shaft size)

* Roll feed units, power presses (up to 125t capacity)

* Ink jet printers, MIG/TIG welders

* Press brake, folder, corrugated curving machine

* Auto banders, saws, wire erosion machines

* Drillers, lathes, grinders, milling machines, CNC lathes
