Twenty4seven Education have an exciting new role that we are looking to recruit for. This role is due to start in September 2024. The school we work with are located in Rowley Regis and are looking for someone who is able to work full time supporting 2 SEN girls. They are undiagnosed but showing signs of autism. The two students are in reception and are non verbal. One of the pupils is still in nappies so an element of personal care will be required.

Although this is a 1-1 role, you would be supported by wider staff within the team. The school are looking for someone who will be able to work just before the end of term to enable a smooth transition prior to the end of term.

SEN EXPEREINCE IS ESSENTIAL.

Typical duties of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

* Attend to the pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes

* Supervise and support pupils in access of learning

* Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans and Personal Care programmes.

* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.

* Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, problems etc.

Desirable skills -

* A good standard of general education (ie. NVQ level 2 or equivalent)

* Good numeracy and literacy skills - GCSE Maths and English

* Previous experience of working with young people

* Basic understanding of child development and learning

* Ability to use basic technology

* Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately

* Good interpersonal and communication skills

* Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation

* Feel confident working 1:1 with a child under the guidance of their teacher

These schools are all looking for people to start immediately. All roles are temporary for now but do have the potential to be permanent for the right person.
