Senior Care Assistant - Days

📍 Location: Bridgenorth
⏳ Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
💷 Pay Rate: £13.80
🕒 Shifts:

* Long days: 7 AM - 9 PM

* Split shifts: 7 AM - 2 PM / 2 PM - 9 PM
📆 Rotational weekends required
🚗 Must be a driver
🔄 Overtime available

About the Role:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will not only provide compassionate care to residents but also play a key role in leading and supporting a team of care assistants. You will ensure a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for residents while also managing care plans and medication administration.

Senior care assistant Key Responsibilities:

✅ Lead and support a team of care assistants, including training new staff
✅ Oversee and implement individual care plans
✅ Monitor residents' general health, including vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, etc.)
✅ Communicate effectively with families about residents' well-being and progress
✅ Plan and facilitate activities to engage and stimulate residents
✅ Administer medication and complete medication reports
✅ Assist residents with personal care, including dressing, washing, and bathroom assistance
✅ Support residents during mealtimes, including serving and feeding when required

Senior care assistant Requirements:

✔ NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
✔ Medication Administration Training
✔ Previous experience in a care setting
✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
