This is a remote working role covering the South of England

Basic salary £60,000 up to £65,000 dependent on experience, plus car allowance, generous bonus scheme, laptop, mobile and excellent benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to join a cutting-edge global business who are seeking a Business Development Manager. Candidate MUST be able to demonstrate extensive technical sales experience selling Test Inspection Certification Services into either the IoT or Medical Devices industry.
You will be responsible for lead generation with existing accounts as well as new and lapsed clients within the UK selling a range of products, working in a consultative way in a service lead environment.
Candidate
* Ideally degree educated in a Science or Material Sciences or Technical discipline or qualified by experience, any testing, metallurgical or composites experience would be an advantage
* Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
* Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events/projects
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop positive working relationships at all level
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, listening and presentation
* Able to present a high degree of professionalism at internal and external meetings
* Able to work in a consultative way in a service lead environment
* Interface with clients to develop relationships to upsell and win new business, determine requirements, provide proposal/estimates and plan
* Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, some overnight travel may be required.
Duties
* Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts.
* Drive profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new and re-engaging with dormant accounts, while growing existing clients
* Gather and analyse market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs.
* Follow up in a timely manner on quotations for the assigned customer base
* Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining, and penetrating accounts
* Work closely with other sales roles and utilizes technical support to maximize the sales realized in the territory
* Lead access and persuasion steps in sales process, including qualifying, relationship building, needs evaluation, solution development/presentation and closing
* Able to identify full customer test needs to uncover additional opportunities within accounts
* You will ensure full compliance with the company code of company's code of integrity, and act in accordance with the companies equality & diversity policy
* Deliver business development related presentations, negotiate, and close business with nominated accounts, working in coordination with location business development resources.
* Provide positive leadership and representation of the company to the public, customers, vendors, and to all employees through membership in professional organizations, serving on company project teams, conducting employee meetings, and visiting work areas and interacting with employees.
* Identify opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure maximum share of wallet
* Represent company at industry association meetings to promote companies and services
* Identify and react to new and developing market, competitor, and regulatory developments to take advantage of all market opportunities
* Work collaboratively with colleagues promoting the companies services, across businesses and service
