Salary: £55000 - £60000/annum

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Site Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects in the North East. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of projects, from inception to completion. This is a critical role where you will take full responsibility for managing on-site teams, liaising with subcontractors, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Lead and manage site teams, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and site operatives.
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to and manage site safety audits.
Develop and maintain project programs, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.
Coordinate with the project manager, client, and design team to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
Manage site logistics, including deliveries, plant, and materials.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
Maintain site records, including daily reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
Identify and manage project risks and implement contingency plans as required.
Lead site meetings and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior site managers and staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager, ideally with a principal contractor.
A background in managing construction projects, with a track record of successful delivery.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
CSCS card and First Aid at Work certification.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
