ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Security Solutions provider in Joburg seeks the services of a Finance Business Partner/Project Manager to work alongside the CFO to execute on identifying opportunities for business and process efficiencies and implementing robust systems, processes and projects that optimise and enhance the operational capabilities of its Finance function. The role will also be required to advise and guide on all relevant operational optimisation matters in an effort to ensure that all Financial strategic objectives are met including the digitisation and innovative evolution of the department. The successful incumbent must possess a Postgraduate tertiary qualification (Honour's Degree) in Finance, Engineering, Project Management or a related field - NQF 8, have 5 years in either a commercial or professional services role with a proven track record in building and implementing robust financial models.
DUTIES:
Delivery of Projects -
- Follow up on approved business initiatives to assess and report on performance against approved financial KPI's.
- Provide expert support to Cost Centre owners to make informed financial decisions for initiatives aligned to the business strategy and operating plans.
- Provide support and drive business case governance in the business in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Analyse relevant financial data and develop optimal financial models to support decision-making and drive business performance in line with strategic objectives.
- Implement project management methodologies as a form of execution to drive the success of implemented initiatives.
- Provide financial expertise in evaluating business opportunities, investments and projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
- Partner closely with functional leaders to guide and assist in the formulation of business plans to deliver on overall company objectives.
- Manage and report on plans through to successful execution.
- Plan and implement relevant initiatives, on a regular basis, aimed at increasing efficiencies within the Finance division.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing, to align financial objectives with business strategies, drive operational efficiency and support revenue growth initiatives.
Process Optimisation and Efficiencies -
- Monitor and analyse financial performance against targets and identify areas of improvement.
- Provide stakeholders with relevant best practices and recommendations to optimize their financial operations in serving the strategic business objectives.
- Put measures into place to proactively identify and address potential issues that may impact revenue leakages and the successful delivery of key organisational projects.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in Finance and Business Partnering.
- Monitor and analyse key financial metrics, KPI's and operational performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities and risks and recommend actionable insights to improve financial performance.
CFO Strategic Support -
- Provide expert, value adding finance input to support the successful translation of strategic objectives into KPI's, financial targets and forecasts.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and business leaders to support decision making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
