MacKenzie King are currently recruiting a SAP Project Manager for a large international organisation with offices in Ipswich. This is envisaged to be a 12 – 18 month project and, as SAP Project Manager, you will lead a global led SAP project that will impact many of the finance processes. This will involve leading a small team of people tasked solely on the project, identifying potential issues and liaising with colleagues at HQ on a regular basis. You will be responsible for driving improvements to operational efficiencies and work in partnership across the business to ensure correct implementation.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage SAP projects, including planning, execution, monitoring and closing.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, functional and business stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and methodologies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and presentations
- Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project resources, including staffing, budget and third party vendors.
- As part of the finance management team support the function group and undertake initiatives for the wider need of the department.
Skills and Experience required :
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills are essential.
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Experience of a multi entity organisation.
- Knowledge and experience of SAP Financials
- Strong leadership experience with a proven track record of leading and managing professional staff, delivering solid performance and continuous service improvement.
- Skills in SAP IT project management, with experience of leading multinational SAP projects.
- A good knowledge of accounting, controlling and treasury businesses processes
