Your new Primary School is a three-form entry Primary School with a Nursery, located in New Addington, Croydon. They are a part of Academy Trust, which is committed to improving the life chances of all children. They have been rated 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2019, and are proud of their diverse and vibrant community.
We are looking for a Year 4 teacher who can join our team from January 2024. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the curriculum for a class of 30 pupils, with the support of a teaching assistant. You will also contribute to the wider life of the School, such as leading a subject area, running a club or participating in events.
Your responsibilities include:

Planning, delivering and assessing the curriculum for a class of 30 pupils, covering subjects such as English, maths, science, history, geography, art, music, PE and RE.
Providing a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment for your pupils, catering for their individual needs and abilities.
Developing positive relationships with your pupils, their parents and carers, and other staff members.
Leading a subject area within the school, such as literacy, numeracy, science or computing, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the year group and the school.
Running a club or an activity for the pupils, such as chess, drama, gardening or sports, and participating in school events, such as assemblies, trips, fairs or performances.
Engaging in continuous professional development, such as attending training courses, workshops, meetings and peer observations, and reflecting on your own practice and feedback.
Contributing to the vision and values of the school and the trust and working collaboratively with other schools within the trust.
Following the school policies and procedures and adhering to the professional code of conduct and ethics.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 4
High expectations of yourself and your pupils
A commitment to the vision and values of the school and the trust
A positive and flexible attitude
A willingness to learn and grow professionally
