Copello is partnered with a defence technology business focused on developing innovative solutions within cyber and communications, recruiting for a Systems Architect.

Joining a business unit at the forefront of developing key management solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to participate in some of the worlds most innovative solutions!

The Systems Architect will be working closely with the Systems Engineering team, Business development team, senior stakeholders and wider engineering teams to drive new opportunities and contribute as the technical SME into technical bids and proposals, through to delivery.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

* Identify and drive revenue opportunities

* Take ownership and responsibility for the bid solution including the logical, functional and physical architectures

* Design the engineering strategy required to design and deliver solutions

* Apply technical knoweldege to make judgement and lend on demonstrable previous experience to identify further opportunities, pursuits and engagement

* Collate, define and quantify every opportunity working closely with the solution architectures and wider team on initial phases

* Highlight and demonstrate a full awareness of both current and future capabilities with a cost and risk based approach to drive concept decision making

* Lead the Engineering team, specifically the Systems engineering team

* Some line management responsibility including development and mentoring of other engineers

To be considered, the successful Systems Architect will have experience in the following areas;

* Demonstrable experience in a similar systems engineering/ architectural design role

* Full knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle (along with a number of development models)

* Experience of strategy, planning and design of complex solutions

* Identifying business development growth and opportunities for both internal and external

* Proven experience operating and working within the defence domain (can include command and control systems, sensors, communications, land, maritime etc)

It is an essential requirement for the Systems Architect to be eligible for DV Clearance.

This role is based in Berkshire and will require around 25% travel to other/ customer sites
