We are a thriving secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets, committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can succeed. We are seeking a Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting students within our Isolation Unit.

Key Responsibilities

Work one-to-one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioural and academic support.
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning, helping students to overcome barriers to their education.
Deliver tailored interventions to promote resilience, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.
Support the reintegration of students into mainstream classes where appropriate.
Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to develop and implement individualised support plans.
Maintain accurate records and monitor progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further development.

What We're Looking For

A compassionate, patient, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Experience working with students with behavioural difficulties, preferably in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of promoting the welfare of children.
