Hyde is looking to recruit a Technical Surveyor.

As a Technical Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our properties by managing fire door and fire compartmentation works. You will oversee the delivery, specification, supervision, and monitoring of repairs and improvement works, ensuring they meet building regulations and DCCG guidance. This role can be based in any of our Hyde locations (London, Kent, Havant or Peterborough) as travel to all areas is essential, car allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of all Fire Risk Assessment actions, responsive repairs, and maintenance programmes in compliance with Fire Safety and Building regulations.
  • Manage framework contractors to meet quality and budget targets, producing monthly expenditure and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, residents, and agencies to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure contract compliance.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, appraisals, schedules, and contract specification documents.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of workmanship, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards.
  • Identify trends in work quality, issue necessary notices, and implement corrective actions to address risks.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience with Fire Risk Assessments and fire door installation and compliance.
  • Strong background in managing contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and adapt to change.
  • Relevant qualification in surveying, fire door inspection etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driving licence and own car is essential
