Information about the Role:
- To be responsible for the delivery of psychological assessment and treatment to patients admitted to waterloo Manor.
- To participate in the risk assessment ad in advising on risk management/reduction as required
- To provide supervision and teaching opportunities within areas of competence and undertake relevant clinical research.
- To contribute to the assessment of newly referred/admitted patients, formulation of patient treatment needs and the provision of psychological treatment programmes
- To monitor and supervise the implementation of psychologicalprogrammes ensuring that these are based on sound psychological principles and practice.
- To assist with the monitoring and reviews of psychological programmes and to ensure that staff have adequate understanding of the Cognitive Behavioural and other psychological principles necessary for the support of any programme..
- To provide timely reports for patient’s reviews as required.
- To contribute to the development of in- service and other training programmes.
- To maintain any records necessary for the evaluation of service needs and efficiency.
- To undertake research and audit relevant to the assessment of patients needs and the development and evaluation of interventions.
- Provide Management/ Clinical supervision and support to Psychology assistants within the department and other staff as appropriate.
About the service:
The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.
Applicants must:
- Be a Registered Forensic Psychologist
- Valid HCPC Licence
- Familiar with Clinical and/or Forensic assessment tools and procedures
- Experienced in training and supervision of Psychologists
- Understand current legislation
