Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a Senior Estates Project Manager, holding experience in the delivery of large scale/value capital projects within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Professionally accountable for estates project construction and implementation of delegated schemes within the Trust's Investment Programme to improve the environment for patients and staff;
Independently manage a range of delegated projects from £5K to £10M upwards from inception to completion, including project management, design, contract administration, site supervision and commissioning under the Trust Capital Programme;
Manage and lead a portfolio of complex and specialist Capital Projects from project briefing through to completion of works on site;
Plan and organise a broad range of activities unassisted and to consider the impact of each project within the portfolio on the Trust strategy;
Communicate Project Updates regularly with information to include design options, detailed design, financial information, Contract options and information and programmes to Senior Managers, Estates staff and the relevant Trust Boards to obtain approvals to proceed and funding;
Remain aware of and work within, all current legislation, Health Building Notes and Technical Memorandums which concern the scheme being undertaken;
Responsible for managing external contractor and professional consultant grievances in line with Estates procedures and processes and the relevant governing institution (i.e. RICS, RIBA, CIOB, etc.);
Ideal Candidate:

Hold a Degree/Master's in mechanical or electrical engineering or construction disciplines/ or at least ten years equivalent experience;
Hold five years practical experience in project management in a relevant and appropriate Health Service environment;
Knowledge and experience of relevant Health and Safety legislation and in particular the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations;
