Vision for Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant on a part- or full-time basis for a primary school, in Seaford, to start in November 2024 dependent on requirements. Pay is from £350-£400 per week for the full-time vacancy.

About the role

We have a part-time and a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant vacancy for a primary school in Seaford, supporting children to manage their behaviour and supporting them with learning.

You will be required to support in class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, using behaviour management skills in assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning.

Pupils are all aged 4-11 with some students having EHCPs for Special Educational Needs & Disabilities and/or Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) as well as associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for creating fun and engaging ways to support pupils and help them find school a safe, positive and enjoyable place to learn!

Vision for Education are seeking an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to work at a wonderful primary school in Seaford. The school are looking to hire someone who is enthusiastic, positive, hard-working, flexible and a conscientious person. The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively in any part of the school to help teaching staff provide excellent support and learning opportunities for our children, supporting in class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. The candidate will be expected to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 for whole class support when needed and in intervention groups.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Assistant you will:

DESIRED: Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator
Ideally have prior school experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH or challenging behavioural needs.
Be confident in behaviour management skills to de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
To mentor and engage with the pupils, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
You will need to be resilient, empathetic, patient and not take things too personally.

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
