Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Communications Officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective internal communications, managing key channels, and creating engaging campaigns to keep staff informed, involved, and motivated across the Council.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

• Manage and deliver internal communications across all platforms, ensuring clear and engaging content for staff.
• Collaborate with departments to create and evaluate communication campaigns and initiatives.
• Foster strong relationships with staff and senior management to support effective, two-way communication.
• Monitor and innovate internal communication methods to improve staff engagement and ensure alignment with Council goals.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Proven experience in managing internal communications in a large organization.
• Experience in creating, delivering, and evaluating communication campaigns.
• Strong written communication and copywriting skills, particularly for digital channels.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and senior management across various departments.

What's on offer:

Salary: £156+per day

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 4-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
