Goods In Assistant

Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 14:15.

Reporting to Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Pay rate would be around: £27-28K depending on experience.

Vanta Staffing High Wycombe have an exciting opportunity to work alongside a long standing client who is a well-established engineering company looking for a Goods in Assistant on a permanent basis.

The successful Goods In candidate will already have the following skills to help support our client:

-          Already work in a supervisory role managing a small team (3-10 employees).

-          Working in a team environment to achieve goals and deadlines.

-          A Keen eye for details ensuring all details are matching on paperwork to item.

-          Knowledge of using Sage 200 or other stock management software - this is desired however, not essential.

-          Being confident to raise any problems to management i.e following procedures for any items that are not delivered as expected.

-          Working at multiple locations and understanding issues that may arise from stock movement.

-          Knowledge of Health and safety - this is a requirement for the role.

The main duties for the Goods in Assistant role are as followings:

-          Loading and unloading lorries/containers safely and efficiently.

-          Take delivery of materials into the warehouse, check quantity and quality ready for storing.

-          Moving goods safely between and around different sites.

-          Assist with daily cycle checks and end of year stock takes.

-          Palletise goods for wrapping to be sent out.

To progress to interview stages for the Goods in Assistant candidates MUST have the following:

-          Driving licence - this is a requirement for the role.

-          Experience of working in a goods in/warehouse

-          Forklift (Counterbalance).

-          Knowledge of using Sage 200 or other stock management software - this is desired however, not essential.

-          Knowledge of health and safety.
