Key Responsibilities:

Investigate and manage a diverse caseload of public protection issues, ensuring legal compliance and enforcement of regulations.
Conduct inspections, audits, and sampling programs to ensure statutory duties are met.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including businesses, residents, and external agencies, to support public safety initiatives.
Provide expert advice and guidance on technical areas of public protection, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Contribute to the development and implementation of service projects, aiming for continuous improvement and efficiency.
Represent the service in meetings, forums, and working groups as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What We're Looking For:

Experience managing a multi-disciplinary enforcement caseload and delivering high-quality enforcement outcomes, including successful prosecutions.
A solid understanding of public protection services and the ability to work effectively with external agencies and stakeholders.
Demonstrable knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is essential; membership of a relevant professional organization is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile working tools.
A valid UK driving license is required
