A school specialising in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team. This role involves working with children aged 5-16, providing essential support to help them overcome challenges related to their emotional and behavioural needs. The school places a strong emphasis on sports and physical activities, so candidates with a background in these areas will be particularly valued. Main Responsibilities:

Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
Act as a positive role model, leading by example
Provide mentoring and guidance to help students navigate challenges
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environmentIdeal Candidate Profile:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, especially in an SEMH setting
A passion for making a difference in the lives of students
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
Up-to-date safeguarding trainingRequirements:

Legal right to work in the UK
An enhanced DBS certificate (child barred list) registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
