Interim Financial Controller

• £350 - 400 Per Day
• Hybrid working, 1 day a week on site in London

About the client

Morgan Law is seeking an interim Financial Controller for a charity in the London area.

Accountabilities

• Manage the finance team to ensure all transactions timely and accurately
• Use effective leadership to coach and guide the team
• Develop and maintain relationships with external clients/stakeholders
• Reviewing financial policies and procedures, streamlining where necessary to increase efficiency
• Ensure proactive cashflow management
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee a team of 3 (Financial Accountant, AP/AR, and a junior bookkeeper who deals with expenses)
• Finance System - Access Dimensions

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or similar qualification (qualification by experience would not be considered)
• Very recent experience working for a not for profit organisation/charity (E)
• Excellent line management experience (E)

• Previous experience leading a finance team
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
