We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher (KS2) to join our friendly, supportive team at a one-form entry primary school in Lewisham, joining a thriving multi-academy trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a small, nurturing school with a close-knit community. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position starting in January 2025 and running until July 2025, with the opportunity to work with a small KS2 class and a Teaching Assistant to support their learning.

Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum for Upper Key Stage 2.
Develop engaging and differentiated learning activities that challenge and support all students in reaching their full potential.
Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to ensure tailored support for students, especially those with additional learning needs.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents on academic achievements and development.
Lead, guide, and motivate Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition to secondary school.
Collaborate with the wider staff team and leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.

Key Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 or a desire to teach it.
Excellent behaviour management techniques with a good sense of humour.
Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within a one-form entry school environment.
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
Passionate about supporting children's development both academically and socially.
