Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments for individuals with suspected or diagnosed ADHD, including the collection of detailed medical and family history, behavioural assessments, and screening for co-existing conditions. Interpret results and contribute to diagnosis alongside the multidisciplinary team.

Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans for individuals with ADHD, focusing on symptom management, medication, and non-pharmacological interventions. Tailor plans to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring the involvement of patients and their families where appropriate.

Medication Management: Administer and monitor ADHD medications, including stimulant and non-stimulant medications. Provide education to patients and their families about medications, side effects, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

Psychoeducation: Provide psychoeducation to individuals, families, and caregivers regarding ADHD, its impact on daily life, and strategies to manage symptoms. Empower patients and families to better understand the condition and adopt practical coping strategies.

Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver behavioral interventions, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and other evidence-based approaches to help patients manage symptoms of ADHD. Provide one-on-one or group sessions to promote skills in emotional regulation, time management, and social interactions.

Support and Advocacy: Offer ongoing support to individuals with ADHD and their families, helping to navigate services and ensuring individuals access the necessary resources for academic, professional, and social success. Act as an advocate for patients within multidisciplinary teams and other external services.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with ADHD. Participate in team meetings and case reviews to provide insights and contribute to treatment planning.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitor the progress of patients under your care, tracking symptom changes, medication effects, and the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions. Adjust care plans as needed and ensure that patients are consistently progressing toward their goals
